Wednesday Closing


The Practice is closed ONCE a month for staff development and training.  Our Doctors, Nursing and administrative staff do need time to train together, which is vital to improve service delivery.  The next date is Wednesday 22nd May 2013.  We DO NOT close on other Wednesday afternoons.

Cancelling Appointments
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment. By giving us as much notice as you can you are helping us to make sure that someone else is given your slot. Please note that the Practice has a policy for Patient who DO NOT ATTEND or fail to cancel their appointment.  Patients who continue to DNA risk being removed from the Practice.
Please keep your appointment, don't waste it.

Emergency Appointments
If you require to be seen urgently, please tell the receptionist the nature of your request to assess the urgency. This facility is for emergency cases only and we ask you to not use this service for routine problems

Home Visits
Home Visits are reserved for patients who are genuinely too ill to attend surgery. Please telephone before 10.00am and be prepared to answer a few questions to help the doctors plan their calls and to assess the urgency. Please remember the doctor can see at least four patients in surgery in the time taken to do one visit.

Dr Temple is our Senior & Executive Partner and is our clinical

lead for CHD, CVD, Hypertension, Diabetes and Hypothyroid.

Dr Christopher John Macgregor (m)

Dr Macgregor has a specialist interest in cryotherapy and excisions.

Dr Macgregor is also leads on University Medical Students we have in practice.

Dr Mills is an Executive Partner for the Practice.  He is also a GP Trainer & Supervisor for Registrars.


Dr Walter Harvey Freeman (m)

MB ChB (Leeds 1991)
Dr Freeman is our Clinical Lead for Heart Failure, Stoke,

TIA and Atrial Fibrillation. Dr Freeman is a GP Registrar Trainer and also has an interest in giving steroid joint injections

Dr Malik is an Executive Partner for the Practice and has a specialist interest in Family Planning, Coils & Implants.

Dr Patrick Law (m)

Dr Patrick Law is an Executive Partner for the Practice.

interest in steroid joint injections.

Dr Kathryn West (f)

Dr West became a Partner on 1st May 2017.   She is well known to the practice as she was a Registrar and then a Salaried Partner before becoming a Partner. 

She has a specialist interest in Dermatology and Cryotherapy & excisions.  She is also GP Trainer for Registrars

Dr Helena Wagstaff (f)

Dr Wagstaff became a Partner on 1st January 2018.   She was well known to the practice already as she was a Registrar and then a Salaried Partner before becoming a Partner. 

She also leads on Palliative Care and Safeguarding Children. 

Dr Thyvanai Dodd (f)

Dr Dodd became a Partner on 1st May 2020.   She was well known to the practice already as she was a Salaried GP before becoming a Partner. 

Dr Nicholas Britchford (m)

Dr Britchford  has been a Salaried GP since April 2020 with the practice. He also has a background in psychiatry and is also a trainer for Registrars.Dr Britchford
