By arrangement. Please ask for a travel advice form from reception before making your appointment. Please note that charges may apply for certain travel vaccinations (not covered by NHS).
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required. There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 2 months before you travel to ensure you are fully protected by the time you leave the UK. If you are planning to travel:
- Please allow plenty of time - some vaccines need to be given up to two months in advance
- Certain vaccines may need to be ordered and kept for your use only
- You will be advised in advance of your appointment of any costs involved and asked to bring payment with you prior to your appointment
- You may require booster vaccinations - advice will be given as to timescales and any other additional costs involved.
Where travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription, these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
